Founder
Erika Rottey
M.P.C.A. International BV is founded in 1998 by Erika Rottey. She is an industrial pharmacist, having many years of experience (since 1991) in Regulatory Affairs, GMP/ GDP and Pharmacovigilance. First in national registration procedures (BENELUX) and for many years also in European procedures.
Her experience gained in international drug development made her understand the needs of the Pharmaceutical industry fairly quickly.

The start of MPCA
- In January 1998 MPCA bv was born as a project management and regulatory affairs contract research organisation, which developed a wide range of flexible services to meet these needs.
- Erika obtained all accreditations to perform pharmaceutical services as a qualified and responsible person: QP n° 1319, RP, RIP n° 656, EU QPPV for CIOMS reporting & XEVMPD, LCP.
- During the first years, MPCA bv worked with flexible university skills. In 2009, the company hired its first employee. Over the following years, many more pharmaceutical consultants joined MPCA due to increasing client demands and the extension of services and applications.
The sequel
- In 2018 MPCA bv celebrated its 20th anniversary.
- In 2019 MPCA bv expanded its international operations, changed its name to M.P.C.A. International BV.
- In 2020 the team reached 13 skilled employees and moved to a new headquarters in Ghent.
- In January 2023 M.P.C.A. International BV celebrated its 25th anniversary.
